Whether you are an experienced affiliate marketer or just getting started, we have some tips to get the most out of affiliate marketing as a sustainable brand using Impactbytes.
Affiliate marketing can be a great way for sustainable brands to promote their products, reach new audiences, and generate revenue. Using affilaite marketing, brands can tap into an extensive network of content creators, bloggers, editorial platforms and influencers who can help spread the word about their products.
Impactbytes is an affiliate network for vetted sustainable brands - making it easy for publishers to find brands and products that fit their style, sustainability standards and content. However, to get the most out of running an affiliate marketing campaign, you can do more than just sign up and wait around to get discovered. Here are our tips:
1. Actively reach out to publishers
Use the publisher directory on the platform to browse through high-quality publishers and find the ones that could be a good fit for your brand - e.g., based on target audience, active markets and style. We are continuously adding new publishers to our platform, so make sure to log in regularly to discover new publishers that are relevant to you.
2. Add a message to publishers when you send an affiliate collaboration request
When inviting publishers to your affiliate program, it helps to let publishers know why you would like to set up a collaboration with them (eg. “similar target audience”, “similar focus on xyz” or “loved reading about >INSERT RECENT BLOG TOPIC< and our brand may resonate with your audience, because….”. Let them know what makes your brand a good fit and unique. Try to keep it short concise and crispy, eg. a few sentences, and personal rather than transactional!
3. Promote your campaign: Add an affiliate page to your website
A great way to let publishers that are interested in your brand know about your affiliate campaign is by adding an affiliate page to your website. An affiliate page should be easily accessible, typically linked in the footer of your website, and explains how to become an affiliate for your brand.
If you're using Impactbytes, simply include a link to the Impactbytes sign-up page for your affiliate program (you can find this invite link on the Impactbytes dashboard) to let publishers know how they can join. When they use that link to sign up to your program, you will be notified so you can accept the new publisher to your affiliate program.
4. Make sure to add all your shipping zones
We offer publishers a way to filter on brands that ship to their region. Therefore, it is important to make sure your shipping zones are up to date so your brand and products are shown to the right audiences. Also, we are continuously reaching new countries through Project Cece - make sure to be featured in all relevant countries, by filling in all shipping zones you have rather than only the ones we are currently live in.
5. Check & pay your (proforma) invoices on time
Most brands do not need a reminder for this, but if you happen to miss commission invoice deadlines regularly, be aware that publishers have to wait longer on their payments because of this. This can be very frustrating and may negatively affect your brand’s reputation and quality as an affiliate partner.
6. Use your network: share your affiliate campaign invite link
Besides working with publishers already on the Impactbytes directory, you can use your own network and research to invite anyone you want to work with to your affiliate campaign. For example, you could promote your affiliate campaign in your newsletter or send dedicated emails to potential affiliates you would like to work with. Use the invite link for your campaign to make it easy for potential partners to become your affiliate!
We believe affiliate marketing can be an excellent way for sustainable brands to promote their products and reach new audiences with performance-based compensation.
